I’m so pleased to be able to share this real wedding with you, but first of all I need to say a huge thank you to the fantastic Jaye and Matt of Tux & Tales Photography for allowing me to share these photographs with you.
Helen and Andy contacted me 7 months before their wedding to help them with their celebrations, the brief for which was a glamorous, city chic affair.
After meeting through work, Andy scored major points for a fab proposal, over a moon and flame torch lit dinner in the middle of the Dubai desert. Gorgeous!
The big day itself started for Helen and her bride tribe at a central London hotel, with hair and makeup provided by Zoe Robinson and Krystal Dawn of I am Makeup respectively. Helen’s stunning dress was from The Boutique.
Meanwhile the boys got ready at The Clerk & Well, one of London’s most charming pubs with rooms located in trendy Clerkenwell
The beautiful ceremony was held at the really stunning St Etheldreda’s Church, a beautiful and historic Roman Catholic Church in the heart of London, near Hatton Garden.
The City provided some great backdrops for the couple’s portraiture.
The reception took place at Banking Hall, with it’s exquisite Art Deco design and towering marble columns. The Grade II listed Main Hall was built in the 1930’s and has been preserved in all its unique charm and grandeur. All the room took was a little lighting, which is all provided by the in-house team, and the addition of some light up letters from Light Up Your Love.
The beautiful florals were provided by Nichlas Vilsmark who included David Austin Roses, Callas, highly scented stephanotis and massive Cymbidium orchids, along with blossom, pink hydrangea, cream roses and white phalaenopsis orchids for the table centrepieces.
I loved working with Helen and Andy. This professional London couple had a clear vision for their wedding and seeing their enjoyment as the day unfolded was just so lovely – it was a real honour to be involved.
I’ll finish on one of my favourite photos from the big day. It’s my favourite, not because of the image itself, but for the memories it evokes. The venue has a no confetti policy so we managed to sneak the wedding party away after dinner for this night time confetti shot in the middle of the main Bank junction. I did my best to sweep it all up but I expect there may still have been a little proof of the party for the commuters on Monday morning! Hopefully it brought some colour to their day and a smile to their faces.
Here is what Andy had to say about his day and working with Caroline Sian Weddings & Events:
“Caroline was a joy to work with from the beginning to the end of our wedding… she went well above and beyond what we initially were expecting and took the stress out of the lead up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. Caroline made the day a fantastic success, so much so that we were able to enjoy our day knowing Caroline had everything under control. [Caroline] truly made the day magical.”
