Guests then made their way to the reception, held in the beautiful grounds of Cothay Manor near Wellington, Somerset, a venue that Francesca had always dreamed of for her wedding having grown up very nearby.
The all important, and stunning flowers were by the lovely Grace at Bramble & Wild.
During the drinks reception we were treated to tunes by the fantastic folk duo that is Mitchell & Vincent whilst sipping tasty (and strong!) cocktails from The Bartender Hire Company who also provided the bar service in the evening.
After the drinks reception guests were guided through the stunning gardens of Cothay to a beautiful marquee by Abbas Marquees where Cherry Picked Catering delighted everyone with fantastic food.
Before guests partied on to the tune of The Delectables.
One of the star team players of the day was Angela Ward Brown, the fantastic photographer who has also kindly allowed me to feature her amazing images on this blog post. Angela’s flexibility in the lead up to the wedding as well as on the day was amazing.
It was such a pleasure helping Francesca and Nigel (and Luna, their cat who would often join our Sykpe meetings) with the plans for their big day. I love being a wedding planner but I have to say that, without doubt, the worst part of the job is leaving behind couples like Francesca and Nigel, who I’ve absolutely loved working with. And I’m pleased to say the love was mutual… here’s what Francesca and Nigel had to say about the day and their experience of working with Caroline Sian Weddings & Events:
“From the moment we met with Caroline, we knew our wedding was in the best hands. We’d become overwhelmed trying to organise our perfect day at locations an hour from where we live that didn’t have their own coordinators to help us. Not only did she quickly draw up a plan of action and immediately set about getting everything back on course, but she really listened to exactly what we had envisioned for our celebration and made it a reality – adding plenty of clever suggestions and extra touches along the way. She was a complete delight to work with (always on hand if we had questions or wanted to know if something was possible) and she and her lovely assistant, Stephanie, were fantastic on the day. In fact, we had several of our guests comment to us how lovely she was, which didn’t surprise us at all because she is! She took all the stress off our shoulders with her super-organised approach and made planning feel fun again. We had the day we always dreamed of – we simply can’t recommend her highly enough.”
